Keck Northeast Astronomy Consortium: 2017 Student Research Symposium

October 20-21 at Colgate University

Information

The 2017 symposium is being hosted by the Department of Physics and Astronomy at Colgate University, in Hamilton, New York. The symposium will begin with a reception (beginning 6:00) and dinner (at 7:00) on Friday evening at the the O'Connor Campus Center.

Students and faculty will also be staying at the Wendt University Inn on Friday night (Google map).

The symposium will be held on Saturday in the Golden Auditorium in Little Hall. Start time is 9:00 am. But people should plan for a 8:30 arrival so we can get started on time. The program for the symposium lists the talks, poster sessions, and the lunchtime breakout sessions.

This campus map should be useful. Note the large parking lot just up the hill from the campus center, which can be used on Friday night. On Saturday, attendees with cars should plan on parking on Lally Lane close to the student union.

Students writing papers can refer to these guidelines.

New – post-meeting: The eclipse photos from many people were shown during the dinner.
